Privacy policy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy. This Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide (“Personal Information”) in the “Iqraa” mobile application, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that Personal Information. It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your Personal Information and how you can access and update it.

Collection of personal information

We do not receive or store any users account information. The only information that we need to collect from the device is the Geolocation data (latitude and longitude) on main two screens:

Homepage when accessing the app to determine the city and country the user is located in to allocate the appropriate prayer times and showing the praying notifications at the exact time the school bus.
Qibla page - determine the user location to show the exact Qibla direction.

all other pages in the App does not collect Geolocation data.

You do not need to provide us with any Personal Information, for now the App does not required the creation of personal account, and all app features will be available to you without any restrictions.

Privacy of children

We do not knowingly collect any Personal Information from children under the age of 18 - In the App in general there is no place or fields to add or submit any Personal Information, and all required profile information will be collected at the time of Account creation by the School administration in the presence of the Parents.

If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 18 has provided Personal Information to us through the Mobile Application and Services, please contact us to request that we delete that child’s Personal Information from our Services.

Use and processing of collected information

Some Analytics information will be collected anonymously while you are using the App functinalities and navigating the different pages.

Any of the information we collect from you may be used for the following purposes:

Improve user experience
Run and operate the Mobile Application core functions
Detect any errors that may occur within the App which will be investigated and resolved in future App updates.

Managing information

The Iqraa app does not require a personal account for now, so no personal information are collected, stored or managed.

Disclosure of information

We will not be sharing any personally identifiable information with third parties and will not share any information with unaffiliated third parties.

Retention of information

We do not need to retain any user data since no personal information will be requested and collected.

Geolocation Information

The app does not collect your location continuously or without your knowledge - it is used only on the Map page where parents can share their home location manually.

The shared location by the user will be used by the school administration to know where the students are distributed in the city and how they can be collected and dropped off from and to their homes in the best way possible.

we don't collect the location history in our Database; only the last shared location will be used.

Data analytics

Our Mobile Application and Services use third-party analytics tools (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) that use information-gathering technologies to collect standard internet activity and usage information.

The information gathered is used to compile statistical reports on User activity such as how often Users visit our Mobile Application and Services, the app general usage trend, etc.

We use the information obtained from these analytics tools to monitor the performance and improve our Mobile Application and Services. We do not use third-party analytics tools to track or to collect any personally identifiable information of our Users and we will not associate any information gathered from the statistical reports with any individual User.

Push notifications

We offer push notifications to which you may voluntarily subscribe at any time. To make sure push notifications reach the correct devices, we use a third-party push notifications provider (Firebase) who relies on a unique token for each device but it does not share or hold any personal information or identification, at any time, you wish to stop receiving push notifications, simply adjust your device settings accordingly.

Links to other resources

The Mobile Application does not contain any links to third party applications, all information and data are contained inside the app itself.

Information security

We secure our servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards in an effort to protect against unauthorized access, use, modification, and disclosure of any related data inside the App - no personal information are stored on our servers.

Changes and amendments

We reserve the right to modify this Policy or its terms related to the Mobile Application and Services at any time at our discretion. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page, post a notification in the Mobile Application, send you an email to notify you. We may also provide notice to you in other ways at our discretion, such as through the contact information you have provided.

An updated version of this Policy will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised Policy unless otherwise specified. Your continued use of the Mobile Application and Services after the effective date of the revised Policy (or such other act specified at that time) will constitute your consent to those changes. However, we will not, without your consent, use your Personal Information in a manner materially different than what was stated at the time your Personal Information was collected.

You acknowledge that you have read this Policy and agree to all its terms and conditions. By accessing and using the Mobile Application and Services and submitting your information you agree to be bound by this Policy. If you do not agree to abide by the terms of this Policy, you are not authorized to access or use the Mobile Application and Services.
